It was a disappointing finish in Memphis for Rory McIlroy, but he's choosing to focus on the positives from the week.

Considering that the Northern Irishman had missed three consecutive cuts heading into the St. Jude Classic, he should perhaps just have been satisfied to find himself very much in the running on the final day.
After playing the final-round front nine in three under par, McIlroy found himself in the lead. Another birdie came at the 11th and he seemed on his way.
But then the wheels starting coming off. He bogeyed the 12th and 14th holes and despite another birdie at 17, disaster was waiting at the 18th, where he hooked into the lake off the final tee for an eventual double-bogey.
Still, McIlroy was in the running for most of the day and there were plenty of encouraging signs ahead of his US Open defence in San Francisco, which starts on Thursday.
"I saw a lot of positive signs this week," he said.
"I got in a good position after 11 holes of the final round and hit a couple of shots coming in, but, you know, overall it's still a pretty good week.
"I'm looking forward to getting to San Francisco and I can take a lot into next week.
"I said in the early part of the week, if I got into contention that was great. I did that. I feel like I'm well prepared going into the US Open."
