Leading British bookies have installed Tiger Woods as the favourite to win The Masters, starting on April 5.
Woods: Targets fifth Masters title
Woods ended a 30-month PGA Tour winless streak with a five-shot to clinch the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill on Sunday.
With that win, many are opining that Woods has put his much-publicised personal problems behind him and finally turned a corner.
As a result, on the back of his strong showing at Bay Hill, bookies are backing Woods to claim his 5th Masters, taking his tally of majors to 15 in the process.
William Hill and Ladbrokes have Woods as 4-1 favourite, while Paddy Power and Coral both have him priced at 7-2.
Rupert Adams, a spokesman for William Hill is quoted by AFP as saying: "His whole game looks right now. He's putting well. He's chipping well. He's driving well.
"The armour looks to be back in place again, and actually, possibly the aura. Once again he's got the swagger back in his step."
