Defending champion Na Yeon Choi and Karrie Webb share the lead after day one of the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.
Choi, who won her first major at the U.S. Women's Open earlier in the year, was five under through 12 holes when play was called off because of lightning, then added a birdie on the par-four 14th when play resumed to card a six-under-par 65.
Veteran Webb, a 38-time winner on the LPGA Tour, also had a bogey-free round, and also added one more birdie to her total after play resumed, at the par-three 17th.
Japan's Mika Miyazato, South Korea's Sun Young Yoo and 17-year-old Taiwanese amateur Min Lee were a stroke back at 66.
South Koreans Hee-Won Han and Hee Young Park shot 67, and Americans Cristie Kerr, Jessica Korda and Lizette Salas were another stroke back along with Japan's Ai Miyazato and Momoko Ueda, South Korea's So Yeon Ryu and Scotland's Cartriona Matthew.
Michelle Wie had a 74, which featured an eagle, three birdies, three bogeys, a double bogey and a triple bogey.
World No 1 Yani Tseng's poor run of form continued as she struggled to a 78 that left her 66th out of the 71-player field.
Tseng was one under through eight holes, but lost eight shots with a triple bogey, a double bogey and three bogeys.
This is the first of four LPGA tournaments set to be played in Asia. The HanaBank Championship is next week in South Korea, followed by stops in Taiwan and Japan.
