Sergio Garcia is looking forward to hosting this week's Castello Masters after getting his "mojo" back.
The 30-year-old Spaniard won the inaugural 2008 edition on his home turf at the Club de Campo Mediterranean course but missed the cut last year when his career was at a low ebb and on Tuesday he talked about the reasons for it.
Garcia had recently broken-up with girlfriend Morgan-Leigh Norman, the daughter of Greg Norman, and had failed to qualify for the European Ryder Cup side.
"There were things outside of golf last year that affected me and we all know what they were," he said.
"When things didn't come together for me I was down on myself and that was reflected in my golf.
"But I came out this year feeling very different and I felt at ease with myself as the year went on.
"I've gained a lot more confidence so the mojo is back. If you asked if my game is 100 per cent I would say yes it is - and it's getting better.
"I feel a lot different this year compared to last year as last year I was struggling mentally and my golf just wasn't there."
