Sergio Garcia's resurgence continued when he became the first Spaniard to win a stroke play event at Club de Golf Valderrama on Sunday.
Its done and dusted. Sergio Garcia has won the Andalucia Masters
Coming off an 11-shot runaway victory in the Castello Masters last week, Garcia battled through a difficult final round at the Andalucía Masters on Sunday to eventually pip fellow Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez by a shot and rocket from 31st into a top 20 place at No 18 on the latest World Rankings list.
Put together with his jump from 78th to 31st after last week's Castello triumph, its given him a phenomenal rise in this year's rankings.
It is second only to that of World No 9 Webb Simpson who started life this year at No 213 in the rankings.
Rory McIlroy remains in third spot despite his $2million win in Shanghai on Sunday for although the event offered the biggest first prize in golf, it wasn't part of any official tour and didn't carry any world ranking points.
McIlroy will have a chance to take the number two spot away from Lee Westwood at this week's WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, however.
Sixth-ranked Martin Kaymer and number eight Adam Scott are the only other members of the world's top 10 taking part in Shanghai.
