Good draw for Rory, Tiger

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, the old and new World Nos 1, won't be starting in the marque group at the back of the field this weekend.

The leaders' slot in Saturday's third round of the season's second World Golf Championship event, the Cadillac Championship, has been given to Friday night's second round leader and runner-up, Bubba Watson and Justin
Rose with first round leader Adam Scott to tee-off immediately in front of them with the inform Swede, Peter Hanson.

But perhaps more important for Woods and McIlroy is the fact that they have been paired in the third-round draw with men they will be comfortable with.

Woods will play alongside fellow American Steve Stricker, currently the USA's highest ranked golfer and a man with whom Woods has had great success in the Ryder Cup, while McIlroy has been paired with Northern Irish compatriot and good friend Graeme McDowell, who, like he, is a US Open Champion, McDowell having won the title in 2010 and McDowell in 2011.

Luke Donald, who last week lost his World No 1 spot to McIlroy after a 40-week reign and who can get it back on Sunday if he wins here at Doral's Blue Monster, will be in the seventh to last group teeing off on Saturday with rising US star Kyle Stanley but fellow Englishman Ian Poulter will be the very first man to tee off on Saturday. He is paired with Korean Sang-moon Bae.
